MISSION

EDU-TAINMENT LIVE! is an innovative 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization encompassing multiple initiatives, programs, and workshops. EDU-TAINMENT LIVE! is committed to helping National Capital Area Youth by identifying and creating opportunities for them to learn, grow, respect one another, have fun, and discover their potential. Using the common denominators of creative writing, music, dance, and performance, EDU-TAINMENT LIVE! will educate our youth on, and involve them in, the history of performing arts.

Edu-tainment Live! - Executive Director and Co-Founder

Thomas A. Beach
, a native Washingtonian, graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Engineering and has spent more than eight years focusing on Intellectual Property Law and in particular on prosecution, licensing, and valuation of technology Mr. Beach also received a Masters Degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

· Mr. Beach has served as the Executive Director of the Journal Of The Patent & Trademark Office Society, a premier international law journal that focuses on the development and interpretation of Intellectual Property issues.
· Mr. Beach’s work experience had included such companies as NIKE, Inc.
· Mr. Beach spent time in Europe as an Equity Research Analyst for Allianz Asset Management GmbH.
· Mr. Beach currently serves as General Manager on several theatrical plays in Washington, DC and Philadelphia.
· Mr. Beach has produced special events for such clients as HOT FEET (Transamerica) and Caliban Productions.
· Mr. Beach currently serves as a Primary Patent Examiner for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in the Subsea Oil & Gas Technologies.

Mr. Beach made his entertainment debut as a Production Assistant on the Lena Horne Awards Gala at Lincoln Center and the workshop production at Radio City Music Hall and is a cofounder of TABMEH Entertainment.



Edu-tainment Live! – Artistic Director and Co-Founder

Michael E. Harrod
hails from Washington, DC and is a proud product of Washington’s many cultural enrichment programs that has shaped his passion for DC and the arts.

Mr. Harrod a protégé of the late Director/Choreographer Jerome Robbins and a graduate of New York’s famed Julliard School/American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Mr. Harrod began his professional management career as a Road Manager to Entertainer Ben Vereen and celebrates 20-year association with Maurice Hines and is a cofounder of TABMEH Entertainment.

· Co-Produced A Tribute to Gregory Hines at the Apollo Theatre.
· Show Producer for the Taste of Tennessee for the first Clinton/Gore Inauguration and recipient of the Presidential Letter and Certificate of Recognition for the event.
· Production/Stage Manager for Walt Disney Entertainment at the Walt Disney World Resort for more than three years.
· Featured in an Advertisement for the Walt Disney Company as the Stage Manager for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at the Disney MGM Studios, February 1996 edition of Black Enterprise magazine.
· Stage Manager for 1995 New Year’s Eve Spectacular featuring Huey Lewis and the News at Disney MGM Studios/Walt Disney World Resort.
· Stage Manager for Walt Disney World’s 25th Anniversary Press Events: Travel Industry Marketing National Tour, the Orlando Arena Spectacular, and Launch Event for the Disney Cruise Line.
· Production Manger for the development of the America Gardens Theatre Repertory Season at EPCOT, Walt Disney World Resort.
· Stage Manager for the Opening/Closing Ceremonies of the Games of the XXV Olympiad in Barcelona.
· Stage Manager for the Magnificent Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.
· Stage Manager for Times Square BID’s Millennium Celebration (New Years).
· Over 25 year of Stage Management experience worldwide that includes shows Guys & Dolls, Jelly’s Last Jam, Ella, Broadway Soul Jam, Five Guys Named Moe, A Christmas Carol, and Forever Plaid, 42nd Street and Evening With Ben Vereen.
· Broadway credits include Hot Feet, Smokey Joe’s Café, and Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies.

Edu-tainment Live! – Technical Director

Christopher J Reynolds
also hails from Washington, DC having extensive experience in Construction of theatrical Sets, and Stagehand work including Carpentry, Electrics, Fly floor, Stage Rigging. Mr. Reynolds is proud to contribute to Washington’s many cultural enrichment programs that have shaped his passions for DC and the arts.
